About this app
This page is for you, not for your parents. It explains what this app does with your schoolwork.
If you are still learning to read, ask Mommy or Daddy to read this with you.
What this app does
Mommy or Daddy takes a picture of the papers your school gives you. The app looks at the picture and writes a list of the things you need to do, so nobody forgets.
Why they had to ask first
Your schoolwork belongs to you. The rule is that a grown-up has to say yes before anyone can look after it for you. You are little, so Mommy or Daddy says yes for you. You can tell them what you think.
Where the picture goes
The picture goes to a big computer far away that is very good at reading. It reads the picture, sends back the list, and keeps nothing.
When it gets something wrong
Sometimes the computer reads something wrong. That is why the app always shows the real words from your paper, so Mommy or Daddy can check.
Keeping something private
Everything on the paper gets saved. Before they send the picture, Mommy or Daddy can rub out any part. Tell them what to rub out.
Your marked papers
The grown-up who looks after you can keep pictures of your tests after your teacher marks them. The app uses them to see which parts you need more help with, so your practice spends more time there.
Your practice answers
When you practice, the app remembers your answers, so it can show Mommy or Daddy what you are getting better at.
Emails to Mommy or Daddy
If Mommy or Daddy says yes, we email them how many things are due soon. The email never has your name in it.
Asking us to stop
You can ask to see what the app knows about you. You can ask us to fix it. You can ask us to throw it all away. Tell Mommy or Daddy and they can do it.
If this changes
If the app starts doing something new with your schoolwork, we will tell you before it happens.
